On 27 November 2020, the Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL) was updated to include the occupation of Social Worker (ANZSCO 272511), based on advice from the National Skills Commission.
PMSOL contains critical skills needs that support Australia’s economic recovery from COVID-19. On 2 September 2020, the Government announced the introduction of a Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL) as part of this commitment. The following visas are available under the PMSOL. It is necessary to obtain a skills assessment (qualification and work experience) alone with the proof of English language level.
- Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (TSS 482)
- Employer Nomination visa (Class EN) (Subclass 186)
- Subclass 494 (Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional)
- Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) visa (subclass 187)
