According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics recently released, for the financial year ended 30 of June 2014, migrant taxpayers generated $84 billion in total personal income. This is 7% more comparing to the the financial year ended 30 of June 2013, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) recently released. The ABS now has five years of data which allows them to have a better understanding of the personal income earned by migrants each year. Since 2010-11, the median total income for permanent migrants has increased by 4.9%, compared to 4.5% for the whole Australian taxpayer population.
